As a part of a trip to Chiangmai - 3 days and 2 nights
Introduction
I put all literature and pictures uploaded, realizing it was not completed. But I follow the philosophy of "just do it, just do it." However, we can all learn from our mistake.
There are many pictures I need to have information - about plants, flowers, species, etc. If you know any information please write to me or add more information at the end of this essay.
I put the numbers in front of all pictures, so you can easily help us by providing correct information about what we should present in pictures. All together, we got 86 pictures. If you are good in biology or more specific, botany, you can help. If you are good in English, also you can help.
Hey, we will learn English all together, remember. I can teach you and in return, you can teach me.

What is an Aroid? Aroid is the common name for members of the Araceae family of plants, sometimes known as the Philodendron or Arum family. The occasionally beautiful and often bizarre combination of spathe and spadix called the inflorescence, sometimes referred to as a "flower", is a distinguishing feature of all aroids.

From Wikipedia - Variegation is the appearance of differently coloured zones in the leaves, and sometimes the stems, of plants. This may be due to a number of causes. Some variegation is attractive and ornamental and gardeners tend to preserve these. The term is also sometimes used to refer to colour zonation in flowers and minerals.

A tropical rainforest is an ecosystem most often found around the equator. They are common in Asia, Australia, Africa, South America, Central America, Mexico and on many of the Pacific Islands. Within the World Wildlife Fund's biome classification, tropical rainforests are considered a type of tropical wet foresttropical moist broadleaf forest) and may also be referred to as lowland equatorial evergreen rainforest. Minimum normal annual rainfall between 1,750 millimetres (69 in) and 2,000 millimetres (79 in) occurs in this climate region. Mean monthly temperatures exceed 18 °C (64 °F) during all months of the year.[1]animal and plant species on the planet.[2] Tropical rain forests are called the "world's largest pharmacy" because over one-quarter of modern medicines originate from its plants.[3]
The undergrowth in a rainforest is restricted in many areas by the lack of sunlight at ground level.[4] This makes it possible for people and other animals to walk through the forest. If the leaf canopy is destroyed or thinned for any reason, the ground beneath is soon colonized by a dense tangled growth of vines, shrubs and small trees called a jungle.[5] (or Rainforests are home to half of all the living

Arid Plants
Deserts have a reputation for supporting very little life, but in reality deserts often have high biodiversity, including animals that remain hidden during daylight hours to control body temperature or to limit moisture needs.

Simple architectural design, but appropriate, good ventilation
should be adequate to stand the mid-day heat of summer months.
Hang Dong District
To reach Baan Tawaii. (famous Handicraft center) you turn left just after Hang Dong market if you are driving from Chiang Mai.
Baan Tawai
Baan Tawai is the village of wood-carving handicrafts. It has been known as the major cultural attraction of Chiangmai for Thai and foreign tourists. The best quality and bargains of wood carving items can be found in Baan Tawai.

World Flowers Exposition
comments:
In the late afternoon, we visited the site of the once arranged Royal Flora Ratchaphruek Expo 2006-2007. I believe it can be revitalized by putting more shades - like big trees, buildings, indoor activities, or even food halls, or refreshment kiosks, so people will not have to stand the heat during the mid day.
Royal Flora Ratchaphruek Expo 2006-2007
From Wikipedia
The Royal Flora Ratchaphruek was a flower festival held 1 November 2006, to 31 January 2007, in the Thai city of Chiang Mai that drew 3,781,624 visitors. It was one of the grand celebrations being hosted by the Royal Thai Government in honor of King Bhumibol, the world’s longest reigning monarch.
The Ratchaphruek (Cassia fistula L.) or Golden Shower Tree is the national flower of Thailand. It is also named "Khun" or "Chaiyaphruek". The reason that the Ratchaphruek is used to symbolize the nation lies in color: its yellow blossoms match the yellow of Buddhism; furthermore, the Thai people regard yellow as the color of the King as well. Moreover, all golden shower trees bloom at the same time; this unity in flowering is felt to reflect the unity and identity of Thais.
The event was located in 80 hectares of land at the Royal Agricultural Research Center in Mae Hia sub-district, Mueang district, Chiang Mai Province in northern Thailand. The 92 days of the expo featured 30 international gardens reflecting nations such as Japan, South Korea, Belgium, Netherlands, South Africa, and Canada; more than 2.5 million trees of 2,200 species of tropical plants and flowers are presented to the world in this exhibition. The AIPH, the Association of International Horticultural Producers, gave this expo A1 status, its highest level; such an exhibition occurs only once a year throughout the world. In addition, a host country can only hold one such exhibition once a decade.
The festival included many highlights to attract tourists:
- Gardens for the king There were two features in this zone: one was International gardens, which were presented by 30 participating nations and covered 21,000 square meters; the other was Corporate gardens, which covered 27,475 square meters, and were presented by both Thai state enterprises, and domestic and international major corporations.
- Ho Kham Royal Pavilion This building featured Lanna architecture, the architectural style of northern Thailand; inside, visitors saw pictures of King Bhumibol's works and his dedication.
- Thai Tropical Garden The enormous 100,000-square-meter garden showcased the diversity of tropical horticulture: fruit varieties, plants, flowers, herbs, and rare plants.
- Expo Plaza This was the focus of the exposition's fun-filled activities, amenities, and services. Visitors were able to purchase products from the Royal Projects and authentic local products from Chiangmai such as handicrafts, paper umbrellas, and souvenirs.
- Cultural shows A total of 45 cultural shows from various regions of Thailand were performed here, including traditional music and dance. In addition, cultural performances from other nations were presented in this place.
The park was open to the public in 2008 with many of the past highlights still very much in evidence, especially the fascinating international exhibits. It is thought that it will remain to stay open as a valued addition to things to do in Chiang Mai.

Touring by Trolley
Notes:
However, the organizers should find ways to solve the problem of fumes from the trolley engines - such as extend the muffler tails with pipes to the high trolley roofs, or use the electric powered trolleys would even be better, for we want to promote appreciation of the nature and environment.
